2 Americans Killed In Belize Bus Crash While On Cruise Excursion
The two Americans were on a seven-day cruise that departed from Galveston on Nov.23.

Two Americans who were on a seven day cruise that left from Galveston were killed in a bus crash while on an independent tour in Belize on Wednesday, according to news reports and the cruise company.
In a statement, Carnival Cruise Line said seven guests on the Carnival Vista ship were involved in the crash. Guests from at least one other cruise line were also on the bus, the company said.
In addition to the two guests that died, five others were injured in the crash. Carnival said the injured guests will continue their medical care in the U.S.

NBC News reported the two Americans killed in the crash were identified as Jacqueline Abad, 53, and Sara Armijo, 51. Three Belizeans who were in the car involved in the crash with the bus were also killed, according to the report. Police in Belize told NBC the driver of the car was at fault in the crash.
The ship departed Galveston on Nov.23 and is scheduled to return on Nov.30.
