Astros Host The Oakland A's in Season Home Opener

The Houston Astros have endured a rough start to the 2019 season, going 2-5 on the road. They hope to rebound against the A's at home.

HOUSTON — The Houston Astros will host the Oakland A's this weekend at Minute Maid Park in a season opening home stand they hope will bring better results after a rocky 2-5 start on the road.

The Astros came out strong to start the season, winning their first game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The team struggled at the plate afterward, dropping three straight to the Rays before rebounding for a win against the Texas Rangers.

The Rangers, however took 3-game series, winning the last two against the Astros. Some call it a case of bad luck, but the season is still young. The Astros host the A's for three games this weekend, and three more against the New York Yankees before gong back on the road.
