Visitors are encouraged to bring a donation item to help BARC stock the kitten and puppy nursery. BARC is always in need of donated kitten and puppy formula, heating pads, bottle kits, and shaker bottles.
“We encourage the public to take a tour of our campus and consider opening their home to an animal in need whether that be through foster or adoption.” said Jennifer Barrera Wandrey, Outreach Manager at BARC.

The kitten care class will be held at BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions 2700 Evella St, Houston, TX 77026 on Sunday, May 19 from 10am to 11am.
The classes will provide information and training on various cat-related topics, including what to do if you find a kitten.
The class is open to the public and residents can sign up by emailing barcvolunteers@houstontx.gov.
The simplest, but most powerful thing Houstonians can do to help BARC and pets throughout the community is to foster, volunteer, donate and adopt.
