Cigar Lounge Customers use Colin Kaepernick Jersey as a Doormat.

Customers respond to Kaepernick's protest by wiping their feet after business duct tapes player's jersey in front of business.

LEAGUE CITY, TX -- A cigar lounge is drawing attention on social media for it’s response to San Francisco 49er’s Quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s kneel down protest during the national anthem.

Last month, Kaepernick launched a protest against racism and police brutality by taking a knee or sitting when the national anthem is played at the start of each game.

Since beginning his protest, other NFL players, such as former Texans Running Back Arian Foster, and the Denver Broncos’ Brandon Marshall.

At the start of the Labor Day weekend, the Man Cave Cigar Lounge responded with a protest of their own, by fastening Kaepernick’s jersey to the ground just outside their business on Marina Bay Drive with duct tape.

"Everybody who walked in would kind of wipe their feet on it," Man Cave General Manager Clint Denny told the Houston Chronicle.

Days later, Man Cave customer Chad Melanson posted a photo of Kaepernick’s duct taped jersey to Facebook, which went viral with over 26,000 shares.

Denny said that he respects Kaepernick’s right to protest as he see’s fit, but he also reserves the right to disagree.

Denny added that he has plans to remove the jersey any time soon.
