Harris County Sheriff's Office Charge Man In Murder
Angel Lagos-Martinez has been charged for the murder of a father of two after evidence and witnesses tied him to the scene.

HOUSTON, TX — Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators have charged 20-year-old Angel Lagos-Martinez for the murder of a 29-year-old father of two.
Lagos-Martinez was arrested, after evidence and witnesses tied him to the scene. On Saturday, Jan. 14, at approximately 3:52 a.m., deputies were called to a report of a man shot in the head at 717 Richcrest Drive.
Deputies learned that Leonidas Ayesta-Carias was with his wife and two sons, ages 7 and 10 years old in their vehicle at the 700 block of Richcrest Drive.

According to deputies, Ayesta-Carias was driving into the parking lot at 717 Richcrest Drive when a Hispanic man, now identified as Lagos-Martinez, ran up to the vehicle and fired one shot from a handgun, striking Ayesta-Carias in the head.
Lagos-Martinez then fled the scene on foot.

Ayesta-Carias was transported to Hermann Memorial Hospital where he later died.
Lagos-Martinez is currently being held in the Harris County Sheriff's Office Detention facility with no bond.
