HOUSTON, TX — On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Houston Downtown Management District (Downtown District) partners with Tracy Carlson Photography and Crush Design Co. to present the annual Heartmade Harvest Market at Main Street Square, located at Main and McKinney in the heart of Downtown Houston. The event is free to attend, and all booth fees benefit Artists for Artists, a Houston-based organization that offers assistance to local artists experiencing career-threatening emergencies.

This outdoor urban art market features the work of more than 70 regional artists who will sell wares ranging from jewelry and apparel to home goods and art. GETTING AROUND:

Parking will be available at McKinney Place Garage (entrance on Travis, between McKinney and Walker); on-street metered parking, and bike parking will also be available; Downtown’s free circulator, Greenlink, will be rolling; and the event is on METRO’s Red Line, the Main Street Square stop.

ABOUT DOWNTOWN DISTRICT

The Downtown District was formed in 1995 for the purpose of revitalizing the urban core of the country’s fourth largest city. Over the past decade, the Downtown District has used a combination of public funds and private resources to catalyze area improvements focusing on the city blocks bordered by Interstate 10, Highway 59 and Interstate 45.

The Downtown District operates under the leadership of a 30-person board of directors who oversee the implementation of the District’s strategic initiatives. Funding for the Downtown District comes from a special assessment on all downtown property owners.
