Holiday Recycling Pickup Schedule In Houston
Check out the pickup schedule for New Year week before hauling your recycling to the curb.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) has released its updated schedule for recycling pickup in the New Year. Due to the busy holiday season and higher volumes at the curb, the department has fallen behind the posting the schedule, SWMD said in a news release.
"All available automated service crews are working diligently to ensure collection of your garbage (black can). We anticipated minor delays due to the holidays, but as a result of some nagging equipment issues we have been additionally challenged. City Council recently approved the purchase of 69 new pieces of equipment which will arrive during the summer," SWMD added.
Customers are instructed to monitor social media outlets and the 3-1-1 customer service center to receive regular status updates.
