Original Story: HOUSTON, TX -- Police are looking for a 59-year old woman who was caught on home video surveillance abusing an elderly woman entrusted to her care.
Brenda Floyd, who was hired by the family through an organization called Care.com, is facing charges of assault or bodily injury to the elderly or disabled after she was seen in the video repeatedly hitting the 94-year old woman after the woman fed her dog scraps of her own food.

In the video, Floyd is seen slapping the woman repeatedly on the top and back of the head while she sits in a chair, and can be heard cursing using foul language toward the woman.
The family said that Floyd had worked with the family for a couple of years and had recently seen bruises on the 94 year old woman.
Memorial Villages Deputy Chief Ray Schultz said the family wasn’t sure if this had been happening a while, but that they’d purchased the cameras for Christmas and had them installed on New Year’s Eve.
The abuse recorded on video occurred on New Year’s Day.
"It is a hard video because we all have parents and grandparents, and it's really hard when you entrust someone to take care of that person for you," Schultz told KPRC.
When Care.com was notified of the allegations against Floyd her account was closed.
Care.com issued a statement on the investigation.
"This is a very disturbing matter and our thoughts are with the family. The safety of our community is of paramount importance to us, and we are cooperating with local law enforcement in this matter. Since this is the subject of an ongoing investigation, we will not comment further."
Floyd, who is now on the run, is a white female with black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 215 pounds.
Anyone with any information on Floyd’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
