The Rain Returns For Houston's Evening Rush Hour
Forecasters predict another day of rain for many in the Houston area with possible flooding.
HOUSTON — As if the rain to start the work week wasn’t enough, more rain is in store for Houston through Tuesday evening. The storms on Monday sparked two house fires and resulted in at least one high water rescue, while Tuesday’s rainmaker may not be as intense, it will be bringing instances of hail and is expected to hang around much of the day.
Meteorologists warn that storms will begin developing early Tuesday in time for the morning commute, and will increase in intensity through Tuesday afternoon. Officials said street flooding is likely after Monday’s heavy rainfall.
For the rest of the week, hazy skies are in Houston’s forecast from the Saharan dust that arrived in the southeast Texas region last weekend. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 90s throughout the week.
