Houston Firefighter Kenneth Stavinoha Dies After Collapsing

Houston firefighter Kenneth Stavinoha died Saturday night at Station 27. He was 36 years old.and is survived by his wife, Jessica.

HOUSTON, TX – Houston firefighters are mourning the loss of of their own. Kenneth Stavinoha collapsed and died while on duty at Station 27 Saturday night.

Stavinhoa was 36 years old.

He joined the Houston Fire Department in January 2018.

Firefighters Association President Marty Sancton says that funeral arrangements have not been announced. The medical examiner will determine why Stavinoha died.

Fire Chief Sam Pena says that Stavinoha was working when he suffered "a medical emergency" and did not survive.
