Houston Food Bank Celebrates Teacher's Appreciation Week

To celebrate teachers and all that they have done during this difficult school year, Houston Food Bank is hosting an event for Teacher Appreciation Week – which is May 3-7 – at their Teacher’s Aid facility.

More than 2,000 teachers have pre-registered for the event taking place on May 4, 5 and 6. Each day teachers will receive gift bags/boxes with lots of goodies! Houston Food Bank’s Nutrition Education department will handing out food samples, Karbach Brewery will be serving beer, and Houston Public Library will provide information on library resources, new teen subscription boxes, and the latest locations of their curbside and computer-access-by-appointment locations available throughout the city.
Houston Food Bank’s Teachers Aid program provides supplies to teachers and families in schools in a Title 1 school with at least 60% of the students on free or reduced-price lunch and who are enrolled in either the Backpack Buddy or School Market program.
