Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 600 East 38th Street about 11:30 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim, 52, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The driver of a white Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the 600 block of East 38th when he approached the Oxford intersection. The victim, a bicyclist, was southbound on Oxford when he ignored the stop sign, entered the intersection, and was struck by the Ford. The bicyclist was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and was questioned and released. The investigation is continuing.
