Houston PD Investigation Into Shooting At 6200 Elm Street

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 6200 Elm Street about 2:10 a.m. today (May 27).

The victim, LaQuinta Hunt, 36, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Williams and B. Salazar reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address. Officers learned Ms. Hunt was sitting in her vehicle when a blue Honda Accord pulled alongside her vehicle and an unknown suspect(s) inside fired several shots into Hunt's vehicle. The Honda then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Hunt was struck in the jaw and was transported by private vehicle to an area hospital. She was subsequently transported by Life Flight helicopter to another hospital.
