Klein Forest HS Dismissed After Possible Firework Explosion

KLEIN, TX — An apparent firework explosion inside Klein Forest High School prompted officials to evacuate the building and dismiss classes for the day.

The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office said preliminary information suggested a firework had ignited inside the school, possibly injuring one person.

The Klein Independent School District said no one would be returning to the building and all after-school activities have been canceled. Away athletic activities have also been canceled.
