Man With Pellet Gun Shot by HPD Charged Threatening Cops
The man who was shot by HPD officers after pointing a pellet gun at them is facing charges.

HOUSTON, TX — Erick Michael Coonrod, 27, is being charged with allegedly using a firearm to "unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly threaten with imminent bodily injury" two HPD officers.
On July 24, two Houston Police Department officers responded to a call about a man with a gun near the intersection of Youakum Boulevard and West Alabama Street, close to the campus of the University of St. Thomas' campus.
The man, Coonrod, was holding what turned out to be a realistic-looking pellet gun. The officers didn't learn that until they had shot and wounded Coonrod.
