'Miracle Baby': Infant Survived Crash That Killed 4 Relatives
Baby Bella continues to improve as the only survivor of a Wharton County crash that killed all others involved.
HOUSTON, TX — A 1-year-old girl has been dubbed a "miracle baby" after she was the only person to survive an early Sunday morning crash in rural Wharton County. "Baby Bella" continues to improve at the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston four days after the crash on U.S. 59 near the FM 961 and Highway 60 exit killed four of her family members and the driver of the other car involved.
"What's keeping me sane is the baby. I have to stay strong for her, for my family," Andres Garcia, the uncle of Isabella Garcia, told ABC-11. "The doctors say she's a fighter, and she's doing better than they expected."
The head-on crash killed four of Garcia's family members, who have been identified by ABC-11 as Fernando Garcia, 21; Daniel Garcia, 25 and his fiancée, Dominique Ramirez; and the couple's 2-year-old son, Isaac.

"I wish I could hug them, I could hold them one more time," Garcia said.
Garcia told the news station investigators told him the other driver, Jose Magallon, who also died, may have hydroplaned on a slick highway.
