NonProfit Donates Superhero Activity Boxes to Children's Hospital

Children's Hospital Donation from Nonprofit to East Texas

Hello Texas!

We are the Characters of Character, Behavior Bear, Do'er Duck, Friendship Frog, Healthy Hippo, Manners Monkey, Respectful Rabbit, Responsible Rabbit, Self-Esteem Elephant and Warm-Hearted Walrus, we provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values.

A few years ago, Joni Downey, the creator of our team, discovered an appreciation and huge need for activities for children to work on as they stay in the hospital. We have been to the Shriner's Children Hospital in Chicago, the Huntley Hospital and the Ann and Robert Lurie's Hospital in Chicago to share our messages and help our children know that they are SUPER!!

We can share these boxes anywhere they are welcomed to after we speak to the hospital staff and we have talked with the Children's Hospital in Edinburg to Mr. Lance Ames, and in Houston. Joni held a Fundraiser for her Birthday in March and was able to donate to the Eidenburg location and two Children's Hospitals in Tennessee. We are always in need of Sponsors and donations to bring these Superhero Boxes to the Children's Hospitals, and, once we are able to and the hospitals give the clear, we are bringing our character costumes to visit the children and to continue making a difference, one child at a time. These boxes are donated each quarter, so, if you find the opportunity to donate and sponsor for the second quarter of this year, know that YOU are making a difference in the life of a child. If your business would like to become involved, please, reach out. If you know of a person or location which would find our of interest, again, please, reach out. We're all in this together!

As part of one of this years projects, Characters of Character raised funds to be able to donate to Children’s Hospitals across America. This organization has chosen the state of Texas and Tennessee as they are relocating the nonprofit to Tennessee this year, and now, with the generosity of the Nashville Predators, Characters of Character is now able to donate at the least 250 Superhero Activity Boxes to the above Children’s Hospitals in Tennessee. The first quarter they donated 60 boxes through a small fundraiser hosted by Joni Downey, the creator of the organization, and this second quarter is off to a fabulous start!
