Jocelyn and Ken are originally from Wyoming and just recently moved back to Houston from Anchorage, Alaska. Prior to that, the couple called Houston home for nine years. The Schneiders discovered The Spice & Tea Exchange when they first moved to Anchorage and were searching for a place to supply Ken’s love for tea. Living in Anchorage, fresh fish is a staple in many households; specifically, halibut and salmon. Looking to try new and different ways to prepare fish, Jocelyn began to explore all that the store had to offer.

“We had become regulars at The Spice & Tea Exchange in Anchorage,” said Jocelyn. “When we found out we were moving back to Houston, we realized there was no store nearby. Instantly, we knew this was the business we wanted to own and that Katy was the perfect place to open up shop! It’s like it was all meant to be.”
