Teen Fatally Shoots Sister's Boyfriend In Harris County: Sheriff

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a 14-year-old shot and killed his sister's boyfriend and injured his sister in a shooting.

KATY, TX — A 14-year-old shot and killed his sister's boyfriend using a shotgun and injured his sister at a home in Katy Saturday night, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Deputies responded to the home in the 24000 block of Pepperrell Place Street around 11:40 p.m. where the juvenile suspect was detained. Gonzalez said the 20-year-old killed in the shooting was pronounced dead at the scene.

The juvenile's sister, who is 18-year-old, is in stable condition at a hospital.

About 10 young adults and teens were at the home when a "disturbance" began between the 14-year-old and his sister's boyfriend, according to Gonzalez.

The juvenile is not in custody and investigation findings are expected to be shared with a juvenile prosecutor in the near future, according to Gonzalez.
