Wesley Hunt Wins U.S. 7 Republican Primary Election In Texas
Six Republicans are on the primary ballot Tuesday, vying to compete against incumbent Democrat Lizzie Fletcher in November.

In the Republican primary for U.S. House 7 in Texas, Wesley Hunt bested his Republican opponents to win the primary election, according to The Texas Tribune. Hunt will face incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher in the November general election. Fletcher is running unopposed on the Democratic ballot.
The seventh congressional district in Texas has its home in Houston and spans the areas west of the city in Harris County.
