UPDATE: HCSO Homicide Charge Man With Capital Murder

HOUSTON, TX — Homicide investigators arrested and charged 19-year-old Deron Matthews on Friday with the capital murder of a 69-year old woman, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and homicide investigators held a news conference May 25, asking for help identifying suspects in the capital murder of a 69-year-old Linda Terry who was discovered dead in her North Harris County home.

Deputy Constable's from Harris County Precinct 4 went to Terry's home in the 20200 block of Fox Haven Lane at about 9:30 p.m. on May 20 to check on her, after no one had heard from her for several days. Deputies found Terry dead inside her home.

The victim had signs of trauma and investigastors learned that Terry's car, a white 2013 Honda Accord, was missing from the house. The vehicle has now been recovered. The link to the video surveillance is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imtk_BGFZ18.
