Who Killed Glenn Takakura? Officials Increase Reward To $25K

HOUSTON — Houston Crime Stoppers and Papa John’s Pizza announced on Tuesday that they have increased they cash award to $25,000 for information that leads to criminal charges and an arrest in the shooting death of a delivery driver in March.

Glenn Takakura was just trying to make a living when he was gunned down in the parking lot of a north Harris County apartment complex on March 28.
“This is a senseless crime that has torn this family apart,” said Crime Stoppers spokesman Kevin Quinn.

Takakura, 44, who was married and had a 6-year-old daughter, had just delivered a pizza to an apartment at the Kendall Manor Apartments located in the 21000 block of Inverness Forest near FM 1960 when two men shot him to death.

Witnesses in the area reported hearing a single gunshot. Those who went to investigator found Takakura dead in the parking lot.

Investigators said they believe the motive for the killing was robbery, but they still need vital information to find Takakura’s killer.

Investigators released video from nearby businesses and spoken with witnesses who saw two men leaving the area in a silver Honda sedan at the time of the shooting.
