Irving Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the opening of the Animal Connect Experience at Fritz Park on July 8. A Grand Opening event is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 10, which will include face painters, shows and tortoise races.

The Animal Connection Experience at Fritz Park offers an ideal setting for people of all ages to learn about animals, both familiar and exotic. For decades, Fritz Park has been the place families to learn about animal life.Â
The Animal Connection Experience features petting zoo animals, pony rides, exotic animal displays, a gift and snack shop, a duck pond and a children's activity tent.

Open July 8 to Aug. 1
- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday
- Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday
Entrance Fees:
- General Admission: $5 per person
- Irving residents (proof of residency required): $4 per person
- Pony rides: $3
- Package discounts available
