Two trucks will be onsite to provide residents with boxes of non-perishable food items to residents. Organizers say they’re prepared to accommodate a large number of people. Distributing food is an essential service and does not violate the Dallas County’s order to shelter-in-place. However, residents who participate in the event are encouraged to practice the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations for social distancing.

The North Texas Food Bank teamed up with The City of Irving Office of Planning and Development, Office of Emergency Management and Parks and Recreation to organize the event.
