Deb Belt has been an editor with Patch.com since August 2011. After launching Patches in Iowa -- where staffers covered the 2012 Iowa Caucuses and the presidential campaign -- Deb joined the Southeast team of editors. Early in 2015 she took on coverage of the Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Prince George's and Montgomery. Since March 2017 she has been the team leader for Patch sites in the Southeast, ranging from Baltimore to Miami. Prior to joining the digital world, she worked as an editor for 13 years at the Des Moines Register, focused on suburban coverage.
