Reading Games Coming to District 58
Beginning Nov. 1, teams of four to eight students can register to participate in the Reading Games, a district-wide reading competition for third through eighth grade students in District 58.

Students and parents living within the boundaries of District 210 will have the opportunity to meet with teachers, guidance counselors and school administrators.
The evening will include tales of the supernatural centered around Lemont locations, and meeting some spirits of the past, including the elusive Resurrection Mary.
Kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat in the church parking lot, where cars will be lined up with trunks full of candy.
Admission for midnight screening is $5.
Hardback books will be on sale for $1 and paperbacks for 50 cents each. Friends of the Library book bags are $1.
Festivities will include a costume parade, trick-or-treating, haywagon rides, children's activities, the Haunted Caboose at Safety Village, food and treats.
Benefitting the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58, the event will be held from noon to midnight Saturday, Oct. 26, in the downtown Downers Grove Parking Structure.
The youth group will join approximately 2,000 DuPage residents who will sleep at 75 sites in DuPage yards and parking lots.
The Downers Grove Young Professionals Network will host its annual "Howl-o-ween Bash" at DuPage Inn Bar and Grill on Thursday to benefit the West Suburban Humane Society.
A female version of the Broadway classic will run Oct. 24-26.
The Downers Grove Police Department is accepting applications through Friday, Oct. 25.

The students were honored with October “Student of the Month” accolades at the district’s Board of Education meeting Oct. 21.
