I was born in a small port community in Los Angeles county where I worked for community newspapers and served my local community college paper as an editor. I moved to San Francisco in 2009 to complete my BA in journalism with a minor in political science.
I have since worked for a Latino online news publication in lower Manhattan, where I kept up to date on pertinent Latino news and figures in the community. I began working for Patch.com in April 2014.
When I am not being a journalist, you can find me watching hockey, being particularly snobby about coffee and beer, reading, playing pit crew for my family's vintage drag racing team and/or writing poetry.
