East Haddam Woman Lobbies Obama — In Person — To Extend Unemployment Benefits
Katherine Hackett, a mother of two men who served in the military, has been unemployed for 13 months and her benefits are about to run out.

Paul Petrone grew up in Salem, graduated from the University of Connecticut and previously worked at The Day and The Bulletin before landing a job at Patch.com in 2010.
