• $35K grant funds new heart monitors for Va. county ambulances (gov1.com) — Bluefield, Va. residents will see upgraded heart-monitoring equipment on local ambulances thanks to a $35,000 Appalachian Power Foundation grant to Tazewell County. The funding outfits every primary county ambulance, including those serving Bluefield, with standardized Lifepak 35 monitors that improve vital-sign tracking, CPR support, and communication during emergencies, especially during high-demand or severe-weather situations.
