• Matt Cross' time on the school board ends without him (hburgcitizen.com) — Families in Broadway will want to know that Broadway High School was one of only two Rockingham County schools to earn a “distinguished” rating in new state performance data. At the same meeting where outgoing member Matt Cross’ term effectively ended, school leaders acknowledged countywide struggles in test scores and absenteeism and pledged to review spending, goals, and the district’s five-year plan heading into 2026.
