Completes 40 Years of Community Service (virginianreview.com) — Clifton Forge’s own Appalfolks of America Association is celebrating 40 years of arts and literacy work that helped save and restore the Historic Masonic Theatre and launch The Virginia Opry and STARS. From local festivals and benefits for Clifton Forge Little League to award-winning films at the Masonic and library, the group’s programs continue to spotlight and serve Alleghany Highlands communities.
   

• Loving Named Director Of MGCC Foundation (thenews-gazette.com) — Clifton Forge native Bruce Loving has been named executive director of the Mountain Gateway Community College Educational Foundation after helping raise more than $1.5 million since 2023. As president of the Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge and a regional nonprofit leader, he’s positioned to expand scholarships, local fundraising campaigns, and partnerships that benefit Alleghany Highlands students and the workforce.
