2019 World Series Watch Parties Planned In Fairfax City
If you weren't able to score tickets to watch the Nationals play the Houston Astros, Fairfax City will host watch parties this weekend.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — With tickets to World Series games between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros hard to come by, fans can find some alternatives close to home thanks to the City of Fairfax. The city is planning two community watch parties Friday and Saturday, giving fans an option to skip the crowds without missing the action.
Large high-definition TVs will be set up for viewing at the following locations:
Old Town Square, 10415 North St., 6:30-9:30 p.m.

This watch party will coincide with the city's last Rock the Block, a monthly event featuring live music, beer garden, food vendors and more.
Friday's game is scheduled to start at 8:07 p.m. The TV will be set up on University Drive at the corner of North Street. According to the city, volume will be turned down during Rock the Block musical performances. See parking information for the event.

Oct. 26: Van Dyck Park, 3720 Old Lee Hwy.
Saturday's game also is scheduled to start at 8:07 p.m. The TV will be placed in the upper parking lot at Van Dyck Park.
The watch party will kick off with a pre-event tailgate at 6:30 p.m. While attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages, beer by Chubby Squirrel Brewing Company and Ornery Beer Company will be for sale. Last call is 10:45 pm.
Attendees also should bring their own blankets or low seating. Parking is available at Daniels Run Elementary School, Joseph Willard Health Center and Christian Science Church.
As of Thursday morning, the heavily favored Houston Astros were down 2-0 in the World Series after the Nationals crushed them 12-3 in Game 2 in Houston. The series now shifts to D.C. where Nationals Park will host Games 3, 4 and 5. The series is best out of seven, and all games are shown on Fox.
