Asian Grocery Store To Hold Grand Opening In Fairfax City

99 Ranch Market, an Asian grocery chain, will soon have a store in Fairfax City, with the grand opening scheduled for Saturday.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — 99 Ranch Market, an Asian grocery chain, is holding a grand opening Saturday for its new store in Fairfax City. At the grand opening of its first store in Virginia, 99 Ranch Market will have free giveaways and special gifts.

The 54,000-square-foot store, at 10780 Fairfax Boulevard, will be selling 20,000 unique items. Its departments will include produce, dry grocery and premium meats. The store will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Upon its opening, 99 Ranch Market will be following all CDC guidelines, maintaining social distancing, and requiring customers to wear face coverings.

99 Ranch Market, also known as Tawa Supermarket, was founded in 1984 by Roger Chen, a Taiwanese immigrant who noticed a cultural gap in the typical American supermarket.

99 Ranch Market is one of the largest Asian supermarket chains in the country, with more than 50 stores across seven states, the vast majority of them in California. The only other D.C. area 99 Ranch Market is in Gaithersburg at 110 Odendhal Ave.
