Assault Charge Levied Against Man Arrested At Fairfax Giant Store

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a man for assault and eating food items that he hadn't paid for inside a local supermarket, according to the daily crime report.

Officers responded around 2:10 p.m., on Sunday, for the report of an assault that had just occurred at the Giant store at 9400 Fairfax Blvd. An employee told officers that they confronted a man inside the store after observing him eating food that he hadn't paid for. When the employee asked the man what he was doing, he threw a cup of water into the employee's face.

Police arrested Enide Gabriel, 56, of no fixed address, and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. They then charged him with simple assault and petit larceny. He is being held on a $1,000 secured bond.
