Basketball Court to be Dedicated For Harold Skeins Sr. in Fairfax: Parks and Rec

Skeins, 78, a longtime city resident who often frequented Ratcliffe Park, was killed last summer when a car crashed into a McDonald's.

FAIRFAX, VA — A basketball court at Ratcliffe Park, 10300 Sager Avenue, will be dedicated as the "Harold Skeins Sr. Basketball Court" 10 a.m. Saturday, according to Fairfax Parks and Recreation.

Skeins was a longtime city resident who was active in local youth programs and was a regular on the courts at Ratcliffe Park.

He was killed early last August when a car crashed into the Courthouse McDonalds and left him pinned between tables and the wall of the building, according to Fairfax City Police.
