BJ's Opening Early For Shoppers 60 And Older During Coronavirus
Beginning Sunday, all BJ's Wholesale Club locations in Virginia will open one hour early every day for members who are age 60 or older.
VIRGINIA — Beginning Sunday, all BJ's Wholesale Club locations in Virginia will open one hour early every day for members who are age 60 or older to help them during the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, crisis. This special opening hour will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. daily and there will be a designated entrance for them to use.
BJ's will be offering the special hours until further notice to allow people 60 or older to shop in a less crowded environment, which better enables social distancing and to be able to shop prior to any other members entering.
"The early opening is geared toward coming together as a community to support each other during challenging times and showing compassion and care for our neighbors who are most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus which, according to the CDC, includes members of the population who are age 60 and older," BJ's said Friday in a statement.
