FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The region is preparing for blizzard conditions Friday, with the potential for more than two feet of snow in the Fairfax City area.

Conditions are expected to deteriorate Friday afternoon, with the biggest snowfall, wind gusts and life-threatening conditions Friday night and Saturday.

1 p.m. to 7 p.m.: 1.2 inch

7 p.m. to 1 a.m.: 4.7 inches

Saturday

1 a.m. to 7 a.m.: 9.7 inches

7 a.m. to 1 p.m.: 6.9 inches

1 p.m. to 7 p.m.: 2.2 inches

7 p.m. to 1 a.m.: 1.6 inches

Sunday

1 a.m. to 5 a.m.: Chance of snow, no accumulation
