FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The City of Fairfax tree lighting kicks off the holiday season on Dec. 7 followed by Lunch With Santa on Dec. 14. Fairfax City will be the site of other holiday events throughout the month of December. Check out the calendar for an event that interests you.
Dec. 5 — City of Fairfax Theatre: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Truro Anglican Church, 10520 Main Street, 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 6-22 — City of Fairfax Holiday Market, Old Towne Square, 10415 North Street, noon.

Dec. 7 — Festival of Lights and Carols, lighting of Christmas tree and more. Old Town Square, 10415 North Street. Starts at noon. 5:30 p.m. is Christmas tree lighting.
Dec. 7 — Twins Ace Hardware Holiday Party, family-friendly celebration, Twins Ace Hardware, 10310B Main Street, 11 a.m.

Dec. 21 — Christmas in Fairfax with the City of Fairfax Band and Fairfax Choral Society, Fairfax High School, 3501 Rebel Run, 7 p.m.
Dec. 31 — New Year’s Eve Fairfax Four Miler, 3999 University Drive, 6 p.m.
