Here's some helpful information about what's open and closed and when you can expect your trash to be picked up Thanksgiving week, for City of Fairfax residents.
City of Fairfax Government Offices: CLOSED Thursday & Friday / Call 703-273-1776
General District Court: CLOSED Thursday & Friday / Call 703-385-7866
Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center: CLOSED Thursday, OPEN Friday / 703-385-8414
City of Fairfax Schools/Fairfax County Schools: Early Dismissal at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, CLOSED Thursday & Friday
TRASH PICKUP SCHEDULE:
Trash and Recyclables will not be collected Thursday and Friday due to the holiday. The schedule has changed to the following:
Monday: Regular collection.
Tuesday: Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected.
Wednesday: Thursday and Friday routes will be collected.
City officials said: "Because two days' worth of debris will be collected in a single day, please be aware that there may be atypical delays in collection."
