Fairfax City Businesses Adapt During Coronavirus Outbreak

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The growing outbreak of new coronavirus, or COVID-19, is creating uncertainty in plenty of ways. In the business community, this is especially true for small businesses and their employees. With all residents advised to practice social distancing and high-risk individuals urged to stay home, Fairfax City businesses are adapting with creative solutions.

The Old Town Fairfax Business Association has introduced a page called Fairfax City to Go. The site includes local businesses that are offering online ordering, delivery, pickup and shipping options. It also lists which businesses have temporarily closed due to the crisis.

"Our businesses are working hard to serve us in these uncertain times," the business association said.

Local businesses also are offering special deals. One of them, What's Up Pizza, located at 3850 Old Lee Highway, has a $7 off coupon when customers order on Grubhub and specials on its own website.
