Fairfax City Hosting Free E-Scooter Demonstration
Learn the basics of riding an e-scooter Sept. 28 in a safe and controlled environment.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City residents are invited to a free e-scooter safety and instruction demo this weekend hosted by the city. The event, which will allow residents to practice riding an e-scooter in a safe and controlled environment, is scheduled Sept. 28 from 4-6 p.m. at the Green Acres Senior Center.
Representatives from Lime, Bird and Spin — the three dockless mobility companies participating in the Fairfax City e-scooter pilot program — will cover the basics of balancing, starting and stopping on an e-scooter. The representatives also will answer frequently asked questions.
Residents 18 years and older are allowed to participate in the demo, and are asked to bring a helmet. If you don't have one, company representatives should have some on hand.
