Fairfax City Primary 2021: Voter Registration Deadline Approaches
The Democratic primary election is coming up for Virginia governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — As the June 8 Democratic Party primary approaches in Fairfax City, the voter registration deadline is Monday, May 17.
The primary will feature races for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. Del. David Bulova (D-37th), who represents Fairfax City in the House of Delegates, is not being challenged in the June 8 Democratic primary.

U.S. citizens in Virginia who will be 18 or older by the Nov. 2 general election are eligible to register to vote. Applications may be submitted online https://www.fairfaxva.gov/government/voter-registration/voter-registration-information by the end of May 17, in person at the City Hall Annex, 10455 Armstrong Street, Suite 300 by 5 p.m. on May 17, or downloaded at https://www.fairfaxva.gov/government/voter-registration/voter-forms and mailed to the City of Fairfax Office of Elections, 10455 Armstrong St., Suite 300, Fairfax, VA 22030-3600. Mailed applications must be postmarked by May 17.
Residents registered to vote should also update their address if needed at vote.elections.virginia.gov, by email at Registrar@fairfaxva.gov., or by calling 703-385-7891 Voters who do not update their registration records before the deadline may be ineligible to vote in the primary.

Early voting for the June 8 primary began on April 23 and will continue through 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 5. An acceptable form of ID is required for in-person voting. Residents can vote early in person at the City Hall Annex, 10455 Armstrong Street, Suite 300.

Where to vote on June 8
Voters who want to cast their ballot in person on June 8 can go to their assigned polling place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. An acceptable form of ID is required for in-person voting. To find your polling place, visit www.elections.virginia.gov/citizen-portal.
