Fairfax Safeway Employee Arrested for Embezzlement

A 24-year-old Safeway employee accused of taking money from a cash register was charged with felony embezzlement Monday.

A Safeway employee was arrested after allegedly embezzling money from a cash register on multiple occasions, Fairfax police report.

On four occasions between Thursday, Oct. 23 and Friday, Nov. 7, 24-year-old Justin Kyle Stone of Fairfax reportedly created returns at a cash register and then taken the money for himself.

Stone was taken into custody at the store Monday, Nov. 24 and transported to the Adult Detention Center. He was charged with felony embezzlement and faces a $2,500 bond.
