FBI Shooting Action Film on GMU Campuses

George Mason University's Fairfax and Prince William campuses are the settings for an upcoming 30-minute FBI training video project.

The FBI is shooting a 30-minute action movie on two of George Mason University’s campuses in December and January to show how law enforcement, fire, rescue and federal agencies collaborate during shooter emergency scenarios.

Filming will take place two days on GMU’s Fairfax Campus starting Friday, Dec. 19 on Rivanna River Road at University Commons, between Amherst Hall and Essex Hall. A minor vehicle accident will be staged midmorning to midafternoon by the sidewalk outside Hanover Hall and an FBI helicopter is tentatively scheduled to film aerial views of the campus Monday, Jan. 26.

Filming will take place from Jan. 4-9 and on Jan. 13 at GMU’s Prince William Campus, during which film crews, emergency vehicles, actors and emergency response personnel will be stationed in and around Bull Run Hall.
