Food Truck Fridays Comes To Fairfax's Providence Community Center
Providence District Supervisor Dalia Palchik is hosting Food Truck Fridays weekly as a way to highlight and support local food vendors.

FAIRFAX, VA — Anyone looking for something to eat on Fridays for lunch in the area of the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail station should swing by Providence District Community Center for Food Truck Fridays.
Fairfax County Supervisor Dalia Palchik, whose office is located inside the center, is hosting the weekly food truck event as a way to highlight and support local small businesses.
Each Friday in July, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., local food trucks will set up in the community center parking lot, which is located south of the Metro station at 3001 Vaden Drive.

Here are the trucks that will be participating in Food Truck Fridays, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., through the rest of month:
- July 16: Empanadas de Mendoza - empenadas
- July 23: Nomz Truck - Persian cuisine
- July 30: Pako Fresh Mex - Mexican food
On the most recent Friday, Michael Ruelas had set up his Capitol Snowie truck and was selling frozen treats to passersby. Ruelas grew up in Fairfax, where he attended Cherry Run Elementary and Lake Braddock Secondary School.
