Fore! Non-Member Golfer Trespasses at Country Club, Police Say

Also, police investigate shoplifting at two area stores in Fairfax City, in most recent crime report.

The following are the most recent incidents reported by the Fairfax City Police in their daily crime report released Monday:

Shoplifting Arrest 16-05633: 3201 Old Lee Highway / Home Depot – On April 8 at 2:28 PM a security officer reported that he had observed a male subject attempting to leave the store without paying for merchandise he had taken, at which point the suspect was detained. Christopher P. Cardinell, 46, of 5917 Old Sawmill Road, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with grand larceny and his bond was set at $3000.


Multiple Charges Arrest 16-05642: 9650 Main Street / A C Moore – On April 8 at 5:41 PM store employees reported that they had observed a female subject attempting to conceal merchandise and that when confronted by a manager had assaulted him and destroyed an item of merchandise during the assault. Amber Burch Weathers, 37, of 4908 Tarheel Way, Annandale, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with felony concealment of goods, disorderly conduct, destruction of property and assault and battery.

Larceny from Vehicle 16-05697: 11020 Fairfax Boulevard / Fairfax Honda – On April 9 at 4:30 PM the vehicle owner reported that while the vehicle was at the dealership for service unknown person(s) had had taken a bottle of gel which had been in the car.


Trespassing 16-05758: 3315 Old Lee Highway / Army Navy Country Club – On April 10 at 7:38 PM employees reported that they had observed an unknown male subject who they knew was not a member golfing on the course. The subject left the area in a vehicle when he saw that employees were approaching him.
