Metro Buses Replace Trains, Some Stations Closed: April 27-28
Taking the Metro this weekend? Plan accordingly: stations will be closed; buses will replace trains; and lines will single-track.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: Awesome Con, Canine Cruise, and DC Potter Crawl.
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, April 27 or Sunday, April 28, you should plan accordingly: some stations will be closed; buses will replace trains on certain lines; and several lines will be single-tracking. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:
From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Red Line trains will operate every 6 minutes between Shady Grove and Farragut North, and every 12 minutes between Glenmont and Shady Grove.

As for Sunday:
- Buses replace Red Line trains between Van Ness-UDC and Medical Center until 2 p.m.
- Trains will run every 10 minutes between Shady Grove and Medical Center, and between Van Ness-UDC and Glenmont, until 2 p.m.
Red Line trains will single-track between Judiciary Square and Union Station all day Saturday and Sunday after 10 p.m. Tenleytown-AU, Friendship Heights, and Bethesda will be closed until 2 p.m. Riders traveling through there should allow 15 minutes per station stop.

On the Orange Line, buses replace trains between Vienna/Fairfax-GMU and West Falls Church-VT/UVA. Riders traveling between the two stations should allow 15 minutes per station shop.
Due to structural repairs and track maintenance, Vienna and Dunn Loring-Merrifield stations will be closed.
Silver Line trains will operate every 12 to 16 minutes.
Blue Line trains will operate every 20 minutes. Trains will also single-track between Pentagon City and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
Yellow Line trains will run every 20 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., trains will operate every 20 minutes between Huntington and Fort Totten. The last Fort Totten-bound Yellow Line train will leave Huntington and subsequent stations five minutes ahead of schedule.
Like the Blue Line, Yellow Line trains will single-track between Pentagon City and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. To get to Fort Totten, transfer to a Green Line train at Mt. Vernon Square.
Green Line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
