Northern Virginia Weather: Rain Likely Thursday But Temperature May Flirt With 70 Degrees

Before conditions take a dive Friday night, it should feel like an early spring day Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

STERLING, VA — It feels more like early spring than the dead of winter, and that's a trend expected to continue for at least one more day, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is likely for most parts of the area tonight but it should wind up around 9 or so, and after that, be prepared for a mostly cloudy Thursday with one big silver lining — temperatures are expected to approach near 70 degrees in some areas.

Things take a turn, though, Friday night, with a decent chance of snow or a wintry mix, albeit with not much accumulation expected.
