Northern Virginia Weather: Weekend Splendor
Remember last weekend? Boo. But Northern Virginia weather for this weekend? Yay, for the most part, says the National Weather Service.
STERLING, VA — For those will outdoor activities scheduled for this weekend, well, be very happy. Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service branch in Sterling, will present a couple of mostly sunny days with a minimal chance of showers. And the temperatures?
Ah, the temperatures. Expect the thermometer to rise to 90 degrees Saturday. Then comes Sunday, with temps in the 80s. With apologies to fans of the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards, both of which are involved with playoff tussling, this weekend begs for folks to go outside and, say, check out the Washington Nationals, fresh off a grueling but successful road swing.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
