Northern Virginia Work-Week Weather: Ditch the Overcoats

The upcoming work week will not be anything like the one that preceded it, according to the area branch of the National Weather Service.

STERLING, VA — A delightful Sunday that arrived gift-wrapped for Mother's Day is only the beginning of what's expected to be a stellar beginning to the work week. Not only that, but there's really no immediate end in sight for the glorious conditions. That's the word from the Sterling-based branch of the National Weather Service.

Monday, during which highs will be in the mid-70s, signals the start of a work week that will feature higher and higher temperatures each day. And the sunshine expected stick around through the rest of the week and beyond. In other words, there's no rain in the work-week forecast.
